THE DISPATCH

X-Men #30 rolls out with a quick snapshot of what’s going on with Cyclops in Paris and then shoots over to Synch and Talon as they divulge some rather in-depth information as to what happened on Counter-Earth with the High Evolutionary. The outcomes of that event will certainly leave fans a bit shocked. Nevertheless, they very well may help clear up some of the red tape that’s transpired on the Laura, Synch, and Talon front.

Moreover, X-Men #30 appears to be a pretty solid setup for the events surrounding the Fall of the House of X. We get a little information about Firestar as well as some minor details from Dr. Stasis to shed some light on some of the inner workings behind the scenes. Ultimately, the story by Duggan appears to be a killer setup for the cliffhanger involving Talon and Synch. I, like many fans, can only hope that these two manage to stay together through the Fall of the House of X. However, we shall certainly see.

ART

Now, the most amazing aspect of X-Men #30 is definitely Phil Noto’s art. His illustrations are so realistic and exceedingly crisp. The way he draws people with such detail is something special. Plus, the colors and clean look make this issue something to be desired.

FINAL THOUGHTS

X-Men #30 is a good, solid tie-in to the Fall of the House of X part of the event taking place. It fills in a few gaps behind the scenes involving the “underground” X-Men led by Synch and Talon. Noto’s art is rock solid as usual and the story itself isn’t too bad. However, the main purpose behind the issue is to set up the cliffhanger involving Synch and Talon. If you’ve been following Duggan’s X-Men, as well as the setup between Talon and Synch, you will certainly love this issue. However, I don’t think it’s entirely needed if you’re just in for the event itself. Let me know what you think, have a great week, and God Bless!
