Jonathan Hickman releases the most jam-packed, exhilarating, and electrifying display that was literally bursting at the seams. From the very first page, readers gaze at nonstop melee, thrilling battle skirmishes, and fast-paced warfare actually abounding off the comic. Some of the heaviest hitters in the Marvel Landscape are all in and ready to throw down making this truly a Battle World.
Finally, the uprising has begun and various Barons have joined the fight against God-Doom as well as the Prophet, the Thor Court, and a startling army led by the Black Panther. This reviewer highly recommends reading this issue multiple times solely to behold the magnificent art by Esad Ribic, Ive Svorcina, and Chris Eliopoulos. The narrative is so quick this week that readers will ignore the small little nuances positioned strategically throughout the narrative that offer the specific detail on every page and illustration. The facial expressions of the crusade between characters, as well as the detailed accompaniment of intricately displaced character brouhaha were beautifully drawn with masterful precision and realistic design. The art in this issue was some of the very best of the entire series and directly impacted this critic’s gasp as if he was watching a live-action movie.
Readers, Doom’s hold on this realm is slipping fast. His power and belief are in question and like every human being to wander the face of the Earth, their belief in their Almighty God is shaken. There God has been seen doing nothing and straddling the sidelines. Problems and concerns proceed to pile up as to why He elects to do nothing. To outsiders, it comes off as vulnerable and weak. However, the reader of the story understands that God-Doom is doing nothing because He is well aware that these people from the life raft know Him from before and will expose what He really is. God-Doom’s hope has always been for His subjects to handle this for Him while maintaining and upholding his secret. However, this issue begins to show their Almighty God completely unravel at the seams. Readers can see the writing on the wall that Doom’s reign is soon over. However, how will that happen and how will it change the Marvel Landscape for years to come? Well comic fans, we’ll have to keep reading to find out!
